Artist #2
Artist: James Casebere
Date: 1994
Title: Asylum
"James Casebere photographs the buildings that structure our social fabric, not during on-site visits to architectural structures, but rather from tabletop models he fabricates in his studio. These models, made from such featureless materials as Foamcore, museum board, plaster, and Styrofoam, remain empty of detail and human figures."
This image gives me a peaceful feeling when I first took a look at it. Even though this is a black&white image, I still can feel the warm sunlight from the window, if there is no sunlight, this image could be so cold.
I also feel loneliness since there are no people in this image. This room is special. His highlight, shadow, and dark parts are really clear.

Arist #1
Date: 1998-2002
Title: "Boxer Dogs Mission Hills"from the series The Valley
This is from his series on the porn industry--"The Valley." I like this photo even though there is a tripod on the right side, and there is a "half dog" on the left side. They disturbed me when I found this photo. I thought that sometimes taking photos is about to break the rules, and they fitted in this photo perfectly.
Another thing I like about it is that the same poses these three dogs are having, and there is a sexy lady walking in the front, and the dogs are following her which makes her seem like more attractive. The color of the sky is nice since we can tell that it combines blue and white clearly.I also like the blue of the swimming pool, and I think it's the highlight of this image.
