Title: Political Protest
"Jim Campbell is a contemporary San Francisco based artist who primarily works with LED light installations." I do like his other LED light series, but my favorite one is this photo.
"The Political Protest series averages multiple still photographic images together through the layering of exposures. The pieces in the Political Protest series were created by averaging multiple still images of the Anti-War Protest at the 2004 Republican National Convention. These images are layered one on top of the other to realize a very dense image from the perspective of informational content. The resulting averaged image would be at the borderline of perceptibility."
I like his idea about putting different layers in one photo to make this photo looks amazing! I can spend a lot time to see this photo, because I think there are a lot of information on this photo.
yeah - these are really nice works by Campbell.
ReplyDeleteAnother artist (doing the work around the same time) is Jason Salavon - different approach but you may like his work more/less.
