Artist #7

Artist: David Hockney
Title: Photographing Ainne Leibovitz while she is photographing me, Mojave dessert.
Date: Feb, 1983

David Hockney is born in Bradford, Yorkshire. In September, 1982, he starts to use Pentax 100 to collage photographs. I like his photographic collages. Expecially the absence of the white borders. Just like this one. I like the random shape, to make me feel relax. It seems like that he was using different settings to take the photographs. When I took look at this photo as a whole thing, I found the brightness are differnt. I do like it!

  1. I agree with liking the random shape, but I find my eyes being drawn to the area that has more of a subject than the picture as a whole. I like the variation of brightness as well it make the photograph more life like, for me anyways.
